A woman who went missing after a catastrophic landslide in Southern California has been found dead, police said Friday.

A San Bernardino County sheriff's specialty's Metropolitan Hunt and Salvage Group found the body of a missing woman, the sheriff's specialty said in an announcement.

the sheriff's department said, The woman, identified as 62-year-old Doris Jagillo, was found "covered under several feet of mud, rocks and flotsam and jetsam.

Although this was not the ideal outcome, the Sheriff's Area of Expertise Trust finding Jagillo will bear a proportion of the conclusion to Jagillo's family and assist them in their cycle of recovery," the department said.
